Paris hotel Las Vegas
I'm looking for comments good and bad from anyone who has been to the Paris hotel recently. I've seen good comments about the breakfast buffet and other restaurants but nothing about the rooms or the hotel in general. Is this a good bet for a medium priced hotel on the strip with no kids?

You want details about Paris?
There are dozens of places to find opinions already posted.
First, try typing "Paris" into the search box above.
You'll get dozens of opinions.
Check places like www.cheapovegas.com for detailed room descriptions.
As for my opinion, I stayed there last year in a standard room.
The pluses are, location is the best in LV, the casino theme is unique and works well in my opinion, and the prices are usually reasonable if you check around.
The negatives? I usually stay at Bellagio but took a chance on Paris for a change of pace. Paris is OK for $80-95 dollars per night. The room quality is a lot like that of a typical Hilton or Marriott or Embassy Suites. Better than a Ramada, not anywhere as nice as a Ritz or Four Seasons. If RC and FS are 10's on a scale of 1-10, I'd rate the rooms at Paris about 6.5-7 if Holiday Inn is a 3-4.

Joined the player's club for Paris last year and received an invitation for 2 free nights, discounts at restaurants, and the spa. So glad that I took them up on their offer. I was celebrating my birthday so it was a really nice surprise when the check-in clerk gave me an upgrade to a suite. The view was not the best but I didn't care since I've been to Vegas many times. I really loved having a large room and bathroom. There was even a walk-in closet and a wet bar. I just wish that the tub and shower were separate. Unfortunately I can't tell you what the standard rooms look like. When Paris first opened up the Village buffet breakfast was the absolute best. We actually left our room at Bellagio to have breakfast in Paris (I know this reads funny but you know what I mean). Sad to report it has gone down IMO. The variety is nothing like it used to be. Had dinner at Orantique. This restaurant is beautifully decorated but that's about it. Our server had the nerve to put a charge on our bill for the "entertainment", of course we had him remove it. one other thing, this place is overrun with kids and babies in strollers yet when you walk over to Bally's, you hardley see the little ones.

Hi Mary - I'm the one who wrote the trip report about Christmas in Vegas. Overall I think Paris is the best deal going on the Strip. It's right in the middle of everything, you can watch the Bellagio dancing fountains from various spots in the hotel as well as the Eifel Tower, and the price is almost always cheap to moderate. Both times we've stayed there we were in a junior suite, so I cannot comment on their standard rooms. The 1st time we were upgraded free to the suite for our quoted $69/nt (it was our anniversary). This last time we tried to get the free upgrade, but they were too busy. They did offer us the same suite for $50 more per night ($109 before tax with the upgrade). Since the suites are so nice, we grabbed it!
The place was quite crowded and yes, unfortunately, there were a number of families....not just at Paris but everywhere. I was quite shocked to see so many families in Vegas, especially since it was Christmas. I guess that's when the little darlings are all out of school, so it makes sense. However, I will argue to the bitter end that Vegas is no place for children.
Anyway, we don't like buffets so I have no info there, but the La Provencal is a nice restaurant with very moderate prices (and singing waiters!). Bally's has a good steak house and the little crepe place is fast and cheap for a quick bite. My husband and I won money in both Paris and Bally's, but my big wins were in Treasure Island and Aladdin. Enjoy!

I stayed at Paris-Las Vegas last September. I really liked this hotel. Room was very nice, bright, and clean and the bathroom was very big, complete with a separate tub and walk in shower. Only full service restaurant I ate at was Mon Ami Gabi -the food, service, and view of the Strip and Bellagio fountains (outside seating) were very good. My daily breakfast was a different type of pastry every day (there are many to choose from) in the bakery. Also got authentic and delicous crepes at La Creperie. Pool area is large and it sits at the base of the Eiffel Tower. It also gets lots of sunshine since it is on the west side of the hotel. Staff, from valet parkers to desk to room cleaners, was very friendly and helpful. Check in desk is easy to get to and the elevator plan to get up to the rooms was very well thought out. Only certain elevators go to certain floors and there are 3 different banks of elevators in 3 different areas. All are very convenient to get to. For the price and location Paris is a great deal. I really liked the atmposphere of Paris-Las Vegas. Sad to say, I had no luck in the casino. Maybe next time!
