Paris or Venetian
As a Christmas gift, we are sending my parents to Las Vegas in the fall. They are in their 60's and live moderately. We wanted to send them somewhere special and narrowed it down to the Venetian or a suite at the Paris. Any recommendations? I want to keep them on the strip and while the Paris is more centrally located, the Venetian does get good reviews. I have only stayed at Mandalay Bay and the JW Marriott so I am not familiar with the rooms and the service at these two hotels. Any advise would be very much appreciated.
Thanks!

I have stayed at the Venetian in one of their upper floor rooms and absolutely loved it. Huge room with 4 t.v.s, giant bathroom, great view.
I heard the Paris rooms are smaller, but as you said, it's more centrally located, and I personally like the ground floor shopping area better than the Venetian, although the Venetian's shopping area is stunning, with the gondoliers and the canals running through it.
It's going to be a walk at either place, because the properties are all quite huge.

I love the Venetian, although I've never stayed at Paris. The Venetian's rooms are wonderful and large, the service is good, and the casino and shops are great. It is a little farther up the Strip than the center of the Strip, but it isn't far out. Additionally, if they don't want to walk, there's a system of inter-casino monorails that may cut some of the distances.

We stayed at Paris this past summer and loved it. I've never stayed at Venetian, but it seems nice, but larger - which means more walking to get around - than Paris. Paris has good dining - moderate as well as higher end too, which your parents may enjoy since you indicated they live moderately. The cafe at Paris is a great place for breakfast - you can substitute chocolate croissants for toast which is delicious.
Paris staff made our stay there memorable and I'll stay there again - even if I do live in Las Vegas! Also, the location is better - IMHO - than Venetian's. I'm sure your parents will love wherever you send them and they'll have a super time.
