Panama City Restaurants

Where are some good places to eat in Panama City, other than Captain Anderson's? Both adult friendly and kid friendly.

A good place right in the same neighborhood is Hamilton's Restaurant & Lounge. You can check out the website at:

http://www.hamiltonspcbeach.com/

They have an excellent menu and we found the service to be very good, too.

I like Canopies. Great she crab soup. I don't know about kid friendly, we took our teenagers there. Another good place is down near the pier (St. Andrews pier?). Hunts is great for oysters. All these restaurants are on the Panama City side of the bridge.

Angelo's used to be a very good restaurant. Haven't been there in 3 years.

My neices (ages 8, 10, & 12) love the Treasure Ship. The food is about average/good. But mainly they get a kick out of the fact that they are eating in a restaurant shaped like a pirate ship. And they have a lot of outdoor seating, where you can watch the boats go out and come in. If I remember correctly, the outdoor seating is covered. This is good in that you are out of the sun, but it does restrict the view.

I live in Panama City, and agree with all the suggestions thus far. FYI, the bridge separating the beach from PC proper is the Hathaway Bridge. For beach dining, I would also suggest the Boatyard, which is two doors east of Capt Andersons. I had fried shrimp last night at the Treasure Ship, and they were outstanding. The wait was not very long for a party of two.
Canopies is one of my favorite places, but it is not child friendly. Angelos' has good steaks, but another alternative that locals like for steaks is the Black Angus. It is very near Canopies, but has no view. Another fine choice is Uncle Ernie's in historic St Andrews, whchc does have a great view there. Although I haven't been, I also hear good things about Anglers, which is on the Bay on the est side of the Hathaway Bridge.

If you like BBQ Ribs try Pineapple Willies. The ribs were so tender the bone fell apart.
