Panama City
Two girls going to Panama City Beach this Sunday for four days. Any must-see destinations or places to eat? We have nothing on the agenda except cocktails and the beach (if weather permits). We may do some shopping as well.

For shopping, go to Pier Park. There are also several restaurants.
Saltwater Grill, Captain Anderson's and Boatyard are good choices for a nice meal. A typical entree will be around $24-$32.
If you like the nightclub scene, try Club La Vela. If you are older than 35, you might want to go to Schooners.

Thank you, Gracie......we are both over 35 and don't mind driving as we have nothing planned. We're staying in a friend's condo although I'm not sure the location. The weather looks pretty nice Sunday through Thursday. I haven't to this part of Florida in 15 years so looking forward to it. I hear Destin is really nice for shopping and eating so we may take a day trip there.

Hope you have a great time. I will be at a wedding on the beach near Thomas Drive Saturday afternoon, so I hope the weather is good. (I live in the area).
Destin does have great shopping. The Destin area is generally a bit more upscale than PCB. However, Pier Park has some great shops.
Sharky's is another restaurant you might consider. It is right on the beach. The food is so-so but the view and ambiance(usually a guy with a guitar) are nice. Same with Schooner's -- great view but so-so food. The Barefoot Beach Club is another bar right on the beach near Sharky's. I have not been to the Barefoot Beach Club, though co-workers over 35 like it.
If you wanted to go into Panama City proper, the Shrimpboat, Captain's Table, Hunt's Oyster Bar, and Uncle Ernie's are in the St Andrews area. Real Florida seafood -- not the tourist stuff usually served on the beach.

redzin,
If you drive to Destin, by all means drive drive down highway 30A on your way there or back. You will enjoy seeing the beach communities of Seaside, Watercolor, Rosemary etc. You might want to plan to stop in Seaside and walk around. The whole 20 or so mile strip is interesting and unique.
There is a great outlet mall in Destin!
