Palm Springs - Any other suggestions?

I'm headed for a long weekend with girlfriends in Palm Springs, CA Jan 14-17. I seem to be the travel planner. We are staying at Casa Cody (www.casacody.com). I've stayed there before and it is great for just hanging out as well, and we three do have a lot of catching up to do.

I have also put some lists of suggestions together for them, so they can choose. i've only come up with one dinner suggestion for the moment, Las Casuelas Terraza. I thought that would be fun for Saturday night. If I remember correctly, they have live music, and good margaritas

Other dinner suggestions for Sun night are welcome. Not too fancy, two of us are flying in and want to carry on so the most dressy we will probably get is casual trousers and a nice top.

I figure we can stumble across lunch, but if anyone has any suggestions we are open to them. R and I in particular like trying new things, so we are pretty wide open to any cuisine.

I've also put a short list of activities for them including:

1. Shopping old Palm Springs
2. Palm Springs Art Museum
3. Hiking Indian Canyons
4. PS Aerial Tram (pretty split on this, there are three feet of snow and I am trying to get AWAY from the cold!)

????

Two of us tend to be more interested in being outdoors and cultural things, one is more interested in working out and shopping, so I wanted to offer up a mix.

I would especially like to hear about more shopping areas just in case I need to offer up more. Besides Palm Canyon Drive area I don't really know.

Thanks for any additional ideas!

The most upscale shopping is actually on El Paseo in Palm Desert, sort of the Rodeo Drive of the desert.
