Palm Beach area hotel advice
We are a couple in our 50's from England, who are travelling from Orlando to Key West, but wish to stay for a couple of nights in the Palm Beach area. We need advice on a hotel to stay at which is about $100 - $150 per night, near the beach and within easy walking distance to bars and restaurants in the evening.

You could try the Chesterfield, which is an older (small rooms, decor was a bit dated when I was there several years ago) hotel in a very good location. It still gets good reviews on Tripadvisor, and September should have good pricing.
Any other Fodorites with info??

Jupiter Beach Resort is in a fun area; not actually walking distance to bars & restaurants, but definitely close by; hotel is on the beach. Sept. should offer rates in that range. About 30+ minutes to the actual "Palm Beach". If you really want close to dining & shops in the "Palm beach area", I'd recommend Delray Beach....check out the Marriott there or even the adjacent Residence Inn by Marriott....can walk to lots of dining & shopping & beach....this would be about 30 minutes south of Palm beach...maybe little less....Jupiter is north of palm beach.

How about the downtown Delray area (its in Palm Beach County.) Atlantic Avenue has lots of shops and restaurants, there are a few hotels in the area. I am not sure of prices in September, but it isnt high season yet.

See if any of these work for you. I know the Marriott is convenient - but dont know the price. The Sundy house looks lovely too. We have spent a lovely afternoon/evening in the area just browsing the street and eating.
