To follow up ElendilPickle's suggestion, we stayed at Hyatt Tamaya in Bernalillo which was a nice spot between ABQ and Santa Fe which worked great for our young daughter as she loved the time in the pool and the location wasn't so far from activities in either of the two cities. Not ideal for a long stay but for 5-7 nights it would work great. The hotel also has lots of hands-on activities like baking bread in outdoor ovens taught by a the Navajo woman. We stayed 5 nights when touring the southwest. My daughter liked the Zoo in ABQ and Bandalier National Park.
