Half day float trip down Colorado...leaves from Page and ends close to Horseshoe Canyon (they bus you back to Page). Antelope Canyon tour (allocate about 3 hours for that including waiting before hand). We also drove to the North Rim for one day but it's a lot of driving...however totally worth it for us.

Good ideas from capecod73 but the facilities at the north rim will probably not be open and the road in might not be either if it has snowed. You might also be able to take a dam tour at Glen Canyon Dam.
If those don't float your boat, take a ride over to Monument Valley about 2 hours drive. Or visit Navajo National Monument.
If you didn't visit Grand Canyon south rim on the way to Page, you could go down to Cameron and head in there, that's my favorite approach.

Hello! Was curious what you ended up doing? We're heading to Page next summer and wanted to take a day trip to the grand canyon. Did you end up doing this? I've been advised on other forums that this wouldn't be a good idea, but I don't see why it wouldn't. Let us know what you ended up doing.
Thanks.
Thanks.
