Pacific Grove Municipal Golf Course
Just looking for information on the above golf course. Will be in Monterey 7/4-7/8 and husband and daughter are hoping to play Pebble Beach and we heard PC Municipal is a pretty nice course for the money, back 9 being very picturesque. Any help appreciated.

Although it's been quite a few years since we played it, I would say, yes, it's excellent compared to most muni courses.
We played early morn and had to stop a few times to let some 'resident' deer wander across.
I used the excellent internet search engine called 'Google' at: www.google.com and found some current info...prices and other basic info at the PG city website. Here's that web address:

Hopefully, Cheryl, you'll get a response with more recent reviews of the course itself.

Cheryl, my husband and I played at Pacific Grove muni a couple of times last year. It is beautiful, particularly back 9. Several holes are facing the ocean. It is rather a short course, but many obstacles make it difficult in back 9. I believe it costs about $35, a bargain in the area! Yes, we saw a few deers.
We spent one week in Monterey, primarily to play golf. There are several nice courses in the area without paying big, big bucks. For example, I liked Blackhorce.
If you have any other questions, let me know.

My husband and I played the course last December. It's a real bargain - $35 as I recall. We checked on whether they rented clubs - $40 per person (they were either Pings or Calloways) and wound up bringing our own. The course is known as the "Poor Man's Pebble Beach.
