Outrigger Waikiki

Anyone ever stay at the Outrigger Waikiki.
Is it nice and at a good location? I understand it's across the street from some marketplace. Any comment's on that?
Also is the sea life park worth visiting?
Thanks for any help.

The Outrigger Waikiki has a fabulous location, right smack in the middle of Waikiki Beach. The hotel is very nice, not super luxury category, but very nice, very well maintained and tropical. The Outrigger is always a great value.

Sea Life Park is a great attraction with a lot to see and do. Plan to spend at least four hours!

It's across the International Marketplace, a Waikiki souvenier mecca.

excellent location, centrally located, lovely view. Be sure to go around to the other side of the island too.

Todd,

I stayed at the Outrigger Reef last month which is on the Waikiki beach. Just a few block away from the Outrigger Waikiki. The hotel was inexpensive, and clean. I'd say comparable to Holiday Inn. I recommend!

The marketplace consist of probably 100 outdoor vendors. All are selling jewelry and souviners. Always ask if they will take less than what they are asking. Not much of anything is marked with prices. Fun to walk through, not high quality, but alot to see and a food court.

I stayed at the Outrigger Waikiki in '96 and '97. I really liked this hotel. It's across the street from the International Marketplace. The beach is great! If you stay there you might want to try Chuck's Steakhouse that is in the hotel. It's my favorite place to eat.

Hello, I lived in Waikiki last year, the Outrigger is nice, if you really want to buy souvenires find out when the flea market is open in Aloha stadium. Sea Life park is a bit on the spendy side, I would think time would be better spent at Haunama Bay snorkeling or Sandy Beach (a must on the east side).

Hope I've helped

I have the Outrigger brochure in front of me now. Have you considered the Outrigger Waikiki shore? You can get an oceanview studio w/ kitchenette there for less than a standard room at the other Outriggers on the beach and it says you have access to the pool and other amenities at the Outrigger Reef next door.
