Outlets Los Angeles

Message: Hello,

January I am in Los Angeles for shopping.
Which Outlet Stores / Outlet Factories are at Los Angeles or nearby? I know the outlets
Ontario Mills, Desert Hill Premium Outlet and Camarillo Premium Outlet.
Are at Los Angeles some Nordstrom Outlets (Nordstrom Rack)?

Perhaps here are some shopping people at this forum, perhaps some tips and help?

The garment district downtown is one big outlet. Check Santee Alley for designer knock-offs. Mid-city there's always Loehmann's on La Cienega. The Circle- small shop with designer clothes (Trina Turk, Petit Oiseau)at big discounts is on GLendale Blvd in Silver Lake. It's tucked away in a small house/office. Call for hours. Cash only. There is also a big outlet on the outskirts of the city in the Assyrian building. Can't remember the name...someone on the board will.
I think there are Nordstorm RAcks in the the Valley.

The closest Nordstrom Rack is in the Culver City/West L.A. area right off the 405 fwy at the Bridge, located off Howard Hughes Drive.

There is also a great high end designer outlet/store in Culver City called Last Chance, on the corner of Washington and Helms. They are only open Wed. - Sat. But the deals area amazing. I once saw a coture Chloe jacket there market down from $2500 to $500! On the more reasonable side, recently I bought a Diane Von Furstenberg wrap dress marked down from $245 to $150!

If you go to Camarillo, Dessert Hills or Ontario outlet centers, take your AAA card (if you have one). The managers office will give you coupons for further discounts.

Desert Hills in Cabazon has a nice selection of high end outlets. Haven't been to Camarillo in a while but I imagine it's similar to Desert Hills as they are run by the same company.

Ontario Mills has nowhere near the same caliber of stores. However it does have a Nordstrom Rack. There are lots of Nordstrom Rack's elsewhere though - check on the Nordstrom website.

Depending on where in the LA area you'll be, you may also want to check out the Carlsbad Company Stores (northern San Diego County) especially if you're staying closer to the Orange county area.

Happy shopping
