WE have most of the "holes" filled in but would still like any opinions...

Saturday arrive SFO around noon drive to Carmel...staying at L'Auberge for 3 nights
Golfing at Pebble, MPCC Shore Course & Cypress

Restaurants: so far at Casanova's (still need others...casual is OK too )

Monday after early golf drive to Yountville

Late lunch in Sausalito ( Something on the water...i need recommendations )

staying at The Villagio for 4 nights

using Eclectic Tours for 2 days to visit boutique wineries ( don't have their itinerary yet )

Restaurants: Mustards ,Bistro Jeanty, Redd...still waiting for help at French Laundry

Experts out there please critique what I have planned and give me your thoughts !!

The three waterfronts in Sausalito are Scoma's, Spinnaker and Houlihans. Your late lunch in Sausalito after golf in Monterey will be really late. You are a minimum of three hours on that drive, and often more.

The Tap Room at Pebble is a great dinner. If you are up for super formal, Club XIX is also superb.

While in Carmel have breakfast at the Village Inn. Casual Italian in downtown Carmel is Il Tuto Mundo.

Sounds like a great trip. Have fun and hit them straight.

In Carmel, a wonderful French restaurant around the corner from Casanova (my favorite for nearly 30 years) is L'Escargot.

thx stumpworks-- I thought someone told me 2 hrs to GG Bridge so i assumed another 15 min or so ...I agree 230 is a little late for lunch

If you like Mexican, in the Carmel area drive to Pacific Grove to a small casual restaurant call Peppers. You should plan on seeing Pacific Grove anyway. Take the stroll from Lover's Point to Cannery Row.

anyone have opinion on Eclectic Tours...they sound real good and have been very helpful

Some more recommendations for restaurants in Napa: Bistro Gionavanni, Terra(our favorite!)

If you get into the area again stay at The Poetry Inn. Check it out and they will give you a tour.

Wineries: Robert Sinskey has a great wine and cheese pairing. They have a great wine club to join! Schramsburg(great champagne tour in the caves!), See if Pine Ridge is having their Lobster dinner in the vineyards when your there. They are on the Silverado trail. I think you have to be a member to go, but it is well worth joining and going to this event. They set up tables in the vineyards and have a Lobster boil. It is fantastic!! I think it is around $100 for event and you get unlimited amounts of wine and food! It is a beautiful event!

Casanova's is a GREAT place!! Another restaurant in Carmel I'd recommend is Pacific's Edge.

You will love the Villagio, we stayed here this past March. Ad Hoc is another cool place to try in Yountville. We enjoyed our wine tasting at Peju Province in this area.

Pacific's Edge is a great suggestion for the Carmel Highland's area. Bouchee is another great place for a meal in Carmel. Katy's Place does really great breakfasts here. If you go out to Carmel Valley for wine tasting, stop at Wickets at the Bernardus Lodge for lunch, gorgeous resort with great food, we like to dine on the outside patio here. ***kim***

Christopher's in Carmel is great as well. Not quite as formal as Cassanova but really good.
