My boyfriend and I just returned from Disney. If you get to Animal Kingdom at 8am when it opens you can see all of it by lunchtime (not that big)and then head to Epcot, do the rides and then walk around world showcase & eat there (finish by 9pm) to see Illuminations show on the water. We spent a full day at the Magic Kingdom since it's our favorite. We didn't see Seaworld or Universal...but I'd vote for Seaworld if it's like the one in San Diego. Have fun!!

Well, I would say you could easily miss Magic Kingdom, which is most fun for small children. You need a whole day for Universal Studios, which would be my top choice, followed by Epcot (another whole day minimum). Animal Kingdom and Seaworld--never been, but isn't Animal Kingdom newer?

I have done brief trips to Disney in 3 days before. Since you are going to be in Orlando for such a short time, I would suggest concentrating your time in the Disney complex (I'm also very biased - Disney is my favorite place). I vehemently disagree with Marilyn about the Magic Kingdom. It appeals to both young children and adults. My husband and I adore it. I would devote a day to the Magic Kingdom, and a day at Epcot. As a previous poster said, you can do Animal Kingdom in half a day. From there, you can go back to one of the other parks. There is so much at Epcot that you can easily spend more than one day there. In the evening, I would go over to Boardwalk which is in walking distance to Epcot, and go to Jellyrolls which is a great dueling piano bar. On another evening, go to Pleasure Island to the comedy club and the Adventurers Club. As you can see, there is more than enough to do at Walt Disney World to fill up your 3 days. Please feel free to email me if you have any questions.

My suggestion is to spend only two days in Orlando (skip Magic Kingdom--too cloying for adults--and head to Universal, MGM, and Sea World), then drive over to New Smyrna Beach (on Rte 44) and spend a day and night there. It's a small Florida resort town that major develpoment has somehow overlooked. There's a quaint little main street area downtown with shops, restaurants, bars, and a couple of places to stay overnight. During the day, head to the Canveral National Seashore, only about five miles south of town. It is desolate and georgeous, with no commercial development of any kind allowed, a nice antidote to overdeveloped, crowded, landlocked Orlando. Or contact the Lone Cabbage Fish Camp near Sanford (about an hour from New Smyrna) and take a $12 airboat ride through the freshwater marsh in the middle of the state--you'll see alligators, 200- year old cypress trees, and all kinds of great stuff Disney never even dreamed of. They sell delicious fried gator tails in the restaurant, too--try and get THAT at Disney!
Good luck.

What kinds of activities do you like? If you love roller coasters & thrill rides, Islands of Adventure at Universal has some of the best. Hulk coaster, Spider-Man virtual reality ride, Dueling Dragons coasters. You can see IOA in one day, and eat that evening at Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville restaurant or another place at Universal Citywalk. For thrill rides at WDW, I highly recommend Rockin' Roller coaster & Tower of Terror at MGM. You could get a Disney parkhopper ticket & start with Animal Kingdom at 7 or 8 AM when it opens, ride most everything and definitely see the Lion King show, then take shuttle bus to Magic Kingdom or Epcot. Where are you staying? To get most out of a short stay you might want to stay on Disney property, use Disney transportation (included) & get parkhopper ticket for your length of stay. All depends on what attractions you like. I recommend you check out Dehb Wills Unofficial Guide to WDW at www.wdwig.com for detailed info that may help you decide. she has links to other Orlando attractions too, so you can get updated info. PS if you do get a multiday parkhopper pass, it never expires (at WDW or Universal). Last Sept we redeemed a multiday ticket with one day left on it, it had been misplaced when left over from our honeymoon in 1983! WDW honored it, no questions asked, and no extra fee! We also purchased 2-day Universal multipark pass last Sept, only used one day, but it never expires & we will use it again this year.

Hello Mike. We have travelled several times to Florida from England, the only theme park we have not visited is Animal Kingdom.
I think you will find it difficult to see all the parks in 3 days.
Universal Studios is our favourite and is the ideal one for adults, you should
definitely go to this one particularly as Islands Of Adventure is now open.
Magic Kingdom is a must also, I disagree with one of the previous messages, MK is for people of all ages
and is THE ultimate Disney park, you would be crazy not to visit it.
As you have not been before Sea World would be my final choice, for a first time visit it is excellent.
One day at each park should just about be enough, I would not bother with EPCOT,MGM or ANIMAL KINGDOM. You can always visit them next time.
Anyway the choice is yours, I personally would just visit 3 parks if you try and visit anymore it wil be too much and will spoil your enjoyment.
If you like the idea of a Water Park, you could always visit Typhoon Lagoon as well. Any questions please e-mail me.

Going to Orlando means going to DISNEY WORLD. Yes, 3 days is a short amount of time, and therefore I would totally immerse myself at Disney. The Magic Kingdom is a must see -- it's the original park and the foundation on what Disney is based on. Adults simply love it, and it makes everyone feel like a kib again. The Magic Kingdom is awesome, and I would spend one day there. The other day I would spend in Epcot Center, which is geared more towards adults, but has some great rides and wonderful sites to see. One night I would head over to Pleasure Island, an "island" filled with nightclubs and comedy clubs, etc. The third day I would spend the morning at the Animal Kingdom (if you get there early you can totally see it all by 1:00pm. The afternoon I would spend at MGM, because that's also not so large. MGM has a great ride called the Tower of Terror, that drops you many stories and then shots you up again!
Don't waste your time on Universal and Seaworld -- Orlando is Disney Town!

First of all, I have been to all of these parks, some several times. My advice is to read all you can about what each of the parks offers. Then pick 3 of them that sound the best and only pick 3. Spend one whole day at each of them. Then plan another trip to see the others when you can. They are all wonderful in my opinion, however, the absolute don't miss is Epcot. But don't make the mistake of trying to squeeze in too many extra things other than the parks, because they are very exhausting all by themselves.

Hello Mike (again, I posted one of the earlier messages).
I completely disagree with Christina. Yes, Disney World is fantastic and you should take advantage of this as much as you can. However, there is a lot more to Orlando that just Disney.
Universal and Sea World are both wonderful places to visit, and both completely different to any Disney park.
I would still stick by Magic Kingdom, Universal and Sea World.
If you have any other questions please feel free to mail me.

My vote is: Magic Kingdom, Epcot, and then Seaworld. However, if you aren't really into the sea thing, you could substitute MGM or Universal for Seaworld. Like most people who have posted here, I think the Magic Kingdom is great for ALL ages. Also, DO NOT try to do more than one theme park in a day, although the theme park day/pleasure island night etc combinations that others have suggested is ok.

I would chose Epcot, Magic Kingdom and Universal Studios. We went to WDW last Summer. I really liked Magic Kingdom and there are more rides in this park! I didn't get to Universal Studios but have heard it is really neat. Try researching WDW on the internet! I kept a journal-email me, if any questions!!!
