Orlando water parks created equal? Blizzard, Typhoon, Wet n Wild, Aquatica
We're currently sorting out the water parks for our Disney book, and looking for ideas about the best. Which parks are your favorite and why? Are they all created equal or are there really unique reasons to go to one but not another?
The parks we're considering are:
Blizzard Beach
Typhoon Lagoon
Wet n Wild
Aquatica
Thanks for any first-hand experiences or recommendations!

In order, my favorites are:
Blizzard Beach
Typhoon Lagoon
Aquatica
Wet n Wild
The disney waterparks are amazing.
Wet n Wild would have great slides, but has a reputation of being more "run down/dirty/old) vs. The disney ones are kept very clean/great shape and they have nice "decor"
Aquatica is nice because new, however I didn't find they had as much slides as the disney ones...+ the one that goes through the dolphin lagoon is a bit of a rip off as you really don't see anything.......but overall I still liked the park.

Second the motion doesn't give you any new information, but I might comment that I would rate the quality of the crowd and facility on the exact same ranking.
If you are doing any other Disney on the trip, tacking on the water park is an economic option compared to just going up to the gate and paying the fare.

I agree with the ranking of Alpine's order.
Aquatica is very nice and new, but not as many water slides.
Do not go to Wet N' Wild. It has become somewhat of a hangout for the wrong crowd. It is dirty and I would not go there when you have three good options.
Have a great trip!

No advice as to which is better than the other, but advice about going to any waterpark in Florida. Be sure to bring water shoes, the ground is hot and even if things are close together your wait may have you standing on hot pavement. Also when we were at the Disney parks this past week, they were playing a recording to not only have water shoes but one piece bathing suites.

Both Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach are excellent! Both have good slides, but Blizzard Beach has the tallest and fastest. Both have nice kiddie sections. If you are really into The Wave Pool, then Typhoon Lagoon is the best place.
Typhoon Lagoon's wave pool has a sand beach, and then concrete as well. If I remember correctly, more trees for shade at TL. Blizzard Beach has a cool Ski Slope atmosphere. The tall water slide is reached via a ski lift instead of stairs.
Can't really go wrong with either of them. So if you are really into the slides, then BB. If it is wavepool and lounging you want, then TL.
