Orlando Transportation

I am considering joining my husband on a business trip to Orlando in late October. He already has reservations at the Residence Inn Sea World. I'm curious about public transportation in the area. Are there buses that go to WDW, Universal Studios, Sea World as well as other areas in Orlando?

The public transportation system is called Lynx: http://www.golynx.com/

However, your hotel may have recommendations on shuttles to the parks. Why don't you call them first?

Depending on what you'll be doing about meals (part of his trip - or wil you be going out for dinner each night?) renting a car may make the most sense. Public transit is not great - even between parks and worse to go anywhere else.

This is your best bet from the airport to the hotel -
http://www.mearstransportation.com/ShuttleServices.htm

You'd be able to walk to Sea World.
The hotel probably will have a shuttle to Universal (nearby)
They probably have a shuttle to Disney. If not, you could cab it.

Public transportation in Orlando can be very disapointing as it took me about one and a half hours to get from International Drive to the Florida Mall. I've been to the Orlando area three times and for the last two I've used
CBC Transportation, http://www.cbctransportation.com , they are very reliable and affordable. They picked me up at the airport and took me to a couple of attractions as well.

Good luck)
Have a nice trip

I'll second the recommendation to rent a car. Sure you can get by with shuttles and public transportation but you'll be wasting your valuable time and will be constantly adjusting your schedules (i.e., "would love to stay in the park for 30 more minutes but if we don't catch the next hotel shuttle in 10 mins, we are stuck here for another hour"). Orlando is one of the best rental markets in the U.S. and you can get a car on Priceline for as little as $10-12/day (I've never paid more than $18). Having a car is also convenient if you want to go out for dinner or nightlife and don't feel like spending money on cabs.
