Orlando Country Music
My husband wants to visit Nashville when we drive the kids to WDW. He loves country music (I can take it or leave it). I'm promoting compromise because my sister just got back. She says theyre making a new country venu near Orlando, for old timy music like Johnny Cash, Eddie Arnold, etc. She says its got the fan clubs backing it. Anybody got details on will it open by late July? Prices? Any idea for kids.

I know they were building an Opryland Hotel/Resort on Osceola Pkwy but now they changed the name of the project to Gaylord Palms!? There is also plans for a "Dollywood" attraction at I-4 and the new Conroy Rd Interchange near the Holy Land Complex. That will probably not be done for at least a year. Cowboys on OBT? 8 Seconds downtown? Wild Horse Saloon has closed at Disney's PI.

also, the hotel which was the Opryland and is now Gaylord Palms, will not be ready till next winter. Nashville is very cool, but depends how old the kids are. One of the best things to do there, is that there is a row of country bars with live bands in every one, but if you have no babysitter ... Also a tour of the old Plantations (Belle Meade) are very interesting, but small kids would probably not do well.

Church Street Station is closed down. The original owner, Bob Snow, is trying to reopen the Cheyenne Saloon but it hasn't happened as yet.
The Gaylord Palms (previously Opryland -it looks exactly like the one in Nashville) is open unless my son-in-law is lying about where he works!
