Organic markets along I-75 South
My husband and I are going to be driving from Ohio to Southwestern FL in a couple of weeks. Could anyone suggest some organic markets or restaurants within a reasonable distance of the I-75 South exits? If not organic, any smoke-free, healthy eating establishments would be great.

There is a store called Nature's Harvest in Tampa. It is a grocery store. Lots of organics, many grocery items. And there is a deli-type place in the back that generally has some goodies.
Also, a couple of blocks away the Natural Kitchen is open for lunch only. It has been in Tampa for at least 30 years. Sit-down restaurant with sandwiches, salads, and a few "specials" every day.
Both of these are off I-275 in Tampa. Florida does not allow smoking in restaurants.
In St. Pete off 275 at 22nd St. there is an Italian grocery that has fresh veggies and cheeses, Italian breads.

Another thought: the Webster flea and farmer's market is every Monday from 6A - 2P. I believe there is a restaurant there with southern veggie plates. If not, there's definitely one in the vicinity (this is a very small town). Webster is just off I-75 in Florida about 70 miles north of Tampa. I know you want healthy eating but I assume some southern batter-fried porkchops won't turn you away! =D>
I would think that along I-75 in southern states you would be able to get off the interstate and go to nearby small towns and have a veggie plate with biscuits or cornbread.
