orcas island: Where to stay w/ 2 teens

Help...am going to Orcas Island next week for two nights. Can anyone recommend lodging for a family of four on Orcas Island? Not too rustic but clean with budget of $250/night. Thanks!

We rented the Allen Cottage through Inn at Cayou Cove for our family of 4 (2 teens). It's closer to $300 per night, but we'll be there in a couple of weeks, so i can report back if it's not too late.
here's the website:

good luck!

My husband's aunt was the innkeeper at the Kangaroo House for many years, it still gets rave reviews on Tripadvisor. You may want to check the out. Have fun! ***kim***

We stayed at Rosario years ago and liked it, but don't know if you could get reservations at this late a time.

Rosario years ago is a different kettle of fish than Rosario now, I'm afraid.

I don't know what the Rosario Resort was like many years ago. I only stayed there for two nights about couple of years ago and I thought it was beautiful--our room/suite was huge with the most gorgeous water view. We had a lounge and a very large, luxurious bathroom. The furnishings were elegant. I also enjoyed the hotel's hot tub (which was like a steamy medium-size indoor pool). They also had an small indoor lap pool and a small gym with very basic equipment but with the same beautiful water views. I fondly remember the restaurant and the great service we received (we went there for my 50th birthday); we brought our own wine and they didn't give us any problem or attitude--I can't even remember if we paid corkage. By my standards, the Rosario Resort was a luxurious, tasteful place. (Granted, I am used to simpler accommodations.) It also has lovely grounds and a good location. I think we paid only $125 per night (it was a special off-season deal). But a few weeks ago I got a posting from Travelzoo announcing a midweek special at Rosario Resort -- $99 per room. Probably too late for your plans, but Rosario Resort shouldn't just be scratched off everyone's list. Some folks would still be delighted by the place. Personally, I would love to go back--who knows, maybe for my 60th birthday!

For $99 a night, I'd sure go back--for the view alone!
