Orca Watching
What would be the the best viewing places or boat cruises to watch Orcas & other marine life in NW Washington? Are the Orcas year round or migrate away in certain months?
Anyone suggest a particular whale watching company for a cruise?

Do a search on Google for "whale watching tour" and "Washington" You will get a ton of information to select from.
Most of the boat operators communicate with each other and use spotters to locate the whales each day. If they are in the area, you have an excellent chance of seeing them.
Have fun!

We were in the area the last week of July and did two whale watches. One by boat from San Juan Island and one by zodiac from Victoria. The day we went from San Juan Island we did not see whales, but we did see dall porpoise which were very neat. They swam along the bow of the boat and put on quite a show. The day we went from Victoria we saw tons of whales as three pods had converged. They were breaching and tail slapping. It was great!! We went with SeaFun Safaris. Our guide was Jeff. We had a wonderful time, saw eagles, seal pups, lots of gulls. While both the zodiac from Victoria and boat from San Juan go to the same waters, hands down, the zodiac trip was the best. They only take 12 people. It worth it to try to get to Victoria. Would do it again if I ever get back to Victoria.
