Orange County advice

I have a Saturday evening and all day Sunday to entertain myself while my daughters
play in Disneyland..I like beach, museums, theater and shopping. Any ideas?

May I suggest that you head directly to Laguna Beach and check out the Art Festival, Sawdust Festival and just enjoy the great location. There's plenty to see and do there and it's worth the visit. Lots of Antique and specialty shops -- just the 'feel' of the town is great!

Laguna Beach is a good choice but keep in mind that the Laguna Arts Fair and Sawdust Festival are for specified weeks during the Summer and you don't say when you will be there. For shopping, South Coast Plaza is considered one of the finest malls in the US.

South Coast Plaza is wonderful, but why go to an indoor mall when we're having such gorgeous weather right now? Just 20 minutes or so further down the freeway (or take the toll road) and you can be at lovely Fashion Island, Newport Beach. Roger's Gardens is right there too & the beach!

What are Fashion Island and Roger's Gardens?

Fashion Island is an upscale mall with some nice stores in Newport Beach and Roger's Gardens is a wonderful nursery right across the main road from Fashion Island. I especially enjoy Roger's Gardens at Christmas.
