Open Containers in Vegas
My DH says he thought he read somewhere that you couldnt walk down the Strip with an open beer anymore.
Has anyone been there recently and have 1st hand knowledge?
Thanks
PS
It is snowing here in
Snohomish County Washington.

I googled and found out that it is legal to have an open container on the strip and downtown Las Vegas.

My DH just found the book where he read the opposite.
Pauline Frommer's Las Vegas
1st addition 2007
page 321
"Recently, Vegas changed its open container laws to make make carring alcoholic beverages on the street illegal (so empty the Eiffel Tower
margarita before you leave Paris Las Legas.)"

when calling for clarification please take note that most of the Strip is outside of LV city limits while downtown is...well..downtown LV> The city might have a new ordinance that the county does not.
But I can't imagine Vegas proper with an open container law!
