My husband and I are spending a week in Chicago at a meeting. We will only have the Saturday night to do something we want to do. Staying at one of the big hotels---don't even know which--near North Michigan Ave. I've left this too long to make a reservation at a super trendy place, but is there something you can suggest.

Just a quiet dinner for two, good wine, maybe prime rib. Are there still any Blackhawk connected restaurants? Used to love the spinning salad.

Prime rib-go to Lawry's on Ontario. Both you and the hubby have to want to eat prime rib though as that's pretty much all they serve. And they have a spinning salad

Ah, the spinning salad bowl at the Blackhawk. The waiter would roll out a cart of crisp salad ingredients and assemble them at tableside with great flair while the spinning bowl distributed the signature dressing to perfection.
