One Night in LA - Sports Fanatics

In our 10 days of travel a couple of Aussies have one night in LA on Friday April 29th. Are there any major sports games on that night? Would love to see a baseball, gridiron, hockey, ice-hockey, basketball, or any similar to burn up our juices (not sure of the seasons). Anything happening in LA that night? Where? And how do we go about getting tickets? Thanks

Well - the hockey season has been cancelled due to an owners lockout (they want heavy duty contract concessions from the players), football is over until the fall and basketball will be in the playoffs by then - so no one knows yet who will play when. It looks like you only major league option is baseball - Dodgers vs Colorado Rockies

Sorry - hit post too soon. Tickets are on sale now if you go to the web site - dodgers.com. If they have nothing available - or only bad seats - these are big stadiums so you may ot want to sit too far away or up - you can try ebay or the online scalpers - like stubhub etc.

Not sure what you mean by hockey and then ice hockey - the only major sport is ice hockey - unless you mean field hockey which is played mainly by girls in prep schools.

Couldn't resist looking up MSL (Major League Soccer), even though it would probably make you hoot a bit. But the only games are on the 23rd and 30th. Think baseball's your deal.

Thanks. Sounds like Baseball's the go, and always looks exciting when we view it downunder. Cheers.
