One Night before trip to Haleakala

Our family of four is headed to Maui in February. We arrive on a Friday but will not have access to our condo until Saturday. Early Saturday morning we will be headed to Haleakala and I'd like to stay close by. I'm having a terrible time of finding a one night rental. Any suggestions?

Maybe a private rental will work better for one night if you are looking for a place in Kula or Pukalani, since they are upcountry and woudl be much closer for a sunrise visit to haleakala.

Try www.vrbo.com We've used them for places out east and been very pleased.

It's not that long (or difficult) a drive that you should feel the need to stay mountainside. Why not just stay in Kahului, and start your Haleakala trip in the a.m.?

Agree montereybob that Kula lodge would work out great.
Do they still have that artist studio downstairs?

We booked a room at the Kula Lodge. I see they have mixed reviews on Trip Advisor but we will roll the dice due to the proximity.
