One Day Itinerary Help PLEASE!
I know this has been asked, and I've perused other threads but I am taking two 11 year old boys and a 15 year old to Philly next Weds. from NYC for one loonnnggg day. I know I want to see stuff like Constitution Hall, Mint, Science Museum, Liberty Bell etc. but was hoping someone coulod map out a rational day.Taxis are fine. Have a reservation at Rittenhouse Hotel in the eventthat we want to stay over but I am not leaning that way. Any help We will be arriving via Acela at about 9:00 a.m. ANy help much appreciated!

Wow. I haven't been to the Constitution Center yet, but I would definitely hit there. If the boys haven't been to Philly before you might want to "Ride the Ducks." The tour should give you a nice overview of the city.
Sorry I can't be much more help.

It is about a 15 minute walk from Rittenhouse SQ to Old City, where the historic district is. The Science Museum is great, but if you are there for 1 day it will take a lot of that day up and it is not close to the historic district. If you choose to visit the Constitution Center or Indepedence Hall, go on line and check out reserving tickets, lines can sometimes be very long if there are groups. Historic sights take longer to visit since 9/11 due to increased security. If you are not staying overnight and you want to get a lot in, just take taxis, none of the rides are that long, including the Museum of Science. There is also a Please Touch Museum there that maybe someone else can commment on.
