Omni San Francisco - get third night free

I booked this hotel for a long weekend at the end of October. The deal is this: pay $169/night for 2 nights and third is free, so essentially it's only $113/night. I have read the older posts regarding this Omni, and the webpage looks beautiful. Does anyone have any comments? How 'deserted' is this area on the weekend? We know SF fairly well, but do not have a sense of what it will be like at night in the financial district.

Great location, even though the Financial District is fairly quiet on the weekends, it is not "deserted." On the contrary, this is within short walking distance to Chinatown, which is always bustling, and also in proximity to the California Street cable car, Union Square and the Ferry Building, which are popular with tourists. If you are worried about nights, take a cab back when you return in the evenings. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there at all, and such a great deal! Have a fun trip.

California St will not be so deserted as to look scary, only after dark.

About a block away is Palio if you want a special place to eat.

The location is great even if it is a little quiet on weekends (quiet, not deserted). Perbacco is only a few blocks away, as is Boulevard.

Whatever you do, don't miss Perbacco. Seriously.
