Olympic Pen & Mt St Helens
I expect to visit Washington for 1 week & want to see the following:
Mt. St. Helens
Hohe Rain Forest
Ferry to Victoria
Dungeness Spit
Port Angeles
I can fly in and out of Seattle or inof Portland and out of Seattle (or vice versa). I will travel from Sept 17 to 24.
Is this enough time for my itinerary? I posted questions a month ago but thought I would have more time to travel the area. I'm uncertain if I'm too ambitious.
All responses and helpful hints most appreciated, my fodorite friends.

Sure. Fly into PDX, overnight.
Early rise, visit Mt St. Helens, drive in PM to coast, overnight. Next day visit Quinault and Hoh rain forest valleys, overnight N. coast or Lake Crescent. Next day, into Port Angeles, visit Dungeness spit, Hurricane Ridge, overnight PA. Next day, foot passenger to Victoria and back. Next day, into Seattle. Five nights on the road, one or two in SEA at the end. Piece of cake.

I like Gardyloos itinerary. I suggest you divide your stay in Olympic National Park between Lake Quinault Lodge and Lake Crescent Lodge--both of which have good restaurants. If you want to trim your itinerary, let it be Dungeness Spit which is much more interesting on a map than it is on foot (unless you are a spit enthusiast).
