OH MY GOD..HELP RADISSON ON LEXINGTON AVE

Okay everyone, please give me the most up to date scoop on this hotel. My husband and I have reservation thru expedia for this hotel. It is our 10th wedding anniversary and I don't expect a gorgeous view or anything for what we paid but is it at least liveable. Some sites say it is newly remodeled, others say it is a dive. PLEASE HELP!!!!

Chill out, will ya? Someone would would think you had a real emergency. How do you react when something really important is going on in your life?

Is anyone else picturing Chandler's ex-girlfriend, Janice, from "Friends?"

According to their own web site, "In 2000 the hotel won the first place Best Renovated Guest Room Award in class from Lodging Hospitality magazine. In September 2001 the hotel also won two additional first place awards from Lodging Hospitality for the Best Renovated Public Space (Lobby) and Best Renovated Suite in class. . . The 27 - story hotel has been a hospitality Landmark for decades offering the best of "Old World Elegance" with it's warm Lobby, coupled with "State-of-the-art" newly renovated 700 guest rooms including a variety of suites (some with terraces)."

I thought this was an emergency going on at the Radisson. I was going to tell you to call 911 but apparently you need something else. Maybe counseling, for some perspective.

We can obviously tell from all your previous comments that you (xxx) are a very sad negative person. I don't believe that I have seen one positive response from you. If you can't be civil then get the hell off the site...if your from New York you give New Yorkers a bad rap.

Well for starters, you could have avoided this panic if you had done some preliminary research on the hotel.

Angie the x people are all different. Many posters use x as a way to remain anonomous. x is not a single individual. What does being a nyer have to do with anything. Whatever.

Er, angie, do you really believe that all posts with "xxx" are from the same person????!!!!! Wow, I didn't know they let such gullable people have access to the internet.

Just as you listed your email as [email protected] (gee, is that a new server, LOL?) many people choose to stay anonymous by just going on as "xxx" or "abc" etc.

But thanks anyway, for my laugh of the day.

P.S. It's spelled "YOU'RE."

Well "excuse me" to all of you. I didn't realize being so honest was a bad thing.

Angie, I feel for you. That's one reason I'm more a lurker than poster these days.

Quite frankly, imho, too many people on this board have too much time on their hands. Consider the source and ignore the morons.

Hope you have a great time in NYC.

Angie,
What does being honest have to do with anything? Geez your posts don't make any sense. First the crack about being a nyer though no one ever claimed to be one, now you're claiming we're bashing you for your honesty? It's the screaming all caps title that has gotten you into trouble. Expedia is not like Priceline, you knew you were reserving the Radisson when you did it. Why all the screaming now? If you're afraid of being disappointed go somewhere else.

Empathetic, thank you for your kind response. I'm going to take your advice from here out, this will be my last entry. I'm new to this sight and was told about it from a friend. I don't have a lot of time so I don't usually surf the web....I didn't realize that ALL CAPS meant yelling and the [email protected] is a fake. I thought this was a repretable site and not a bashing site for prospective travelers. To all who have responded cordially, I appreciate your input. Thank you.

Angie-

Sorry you got responses you considered rude, but you have to understand that when you write "OH MY GOD..HELP..", people think there's a real emergency, not just a hotel question, and they're a little perturbed by your tone.

Having said that, I don't know anything about the hotel, so I can't help you there, but I hope someone is able to give you some information.

A piece of advice. You might want to re-post your question, but this time give it a subject heading like "NYC -Radisson. Good choice or dive?". Something like that will be more likely to yield helpful responses, and people won't be so put off by the frantic tone of "OH MY GOD...PLEASE HELP".

Angie-pretend you are writing a letter to some strangers.Use your best tone,be sure you know how to spell the words you use,and ask your question using as much sense as you can and with as few words. The drama isn't needed here.

I agree with the first xxx. I'm getting a visual of Janice from Friends and it cracks me up.
