Ogunquit w/ kids

My husband and I are taking our third trip to the Ogunquit area next week, but this time our little one willbe 18 months old and needs a little entertainment! We're staying at the Sparhawk, which has a pool and a nice grassy area. Are there local playgrounds nearby? ANy other suggstions? We're looking forward to the beach, but realistically only spend a few hours there each day. Also, restaurant recommendations? I seem to remember that several places (like that good breakfast place on the road toward Perkins Cove) don't have highchairs.

Many thanks for your help!

Just before Perkins Cove, take shore road to York. Beauriful ocean drive. Big Playground on Short Beach. Love Sparhawk!

We have taken our little ones to this area a few times. The Portland Children's Musuem (about an hour from Oqunquit) is awesome and perfect for your little one. Our son, who went for the first time when he was 2, loved it and we went again the following year. It's very hands-on. A fire engine, grocery store, vet's office, boat are just some of the fun things they had when we were there last year. There is also a place for those 3 and under to play in. A fun, cushy place!

Also, the York Zoo is fun.

Enjoy your trip! Don't think we're going to make it there this year so I'm quite jealous of your trip!

A second vote for York...my grandkids love it there. Animals, rides, etc...York Beach itself is fun, but I am not sure what is open at this time of year. We always lunch at the Goldenrod and the kids love watching them make salt water taffy through the window. Have fun NannyJan
