Ocean Shores & Port Angeles WA

We are looking for dinner places in Ocean Shores and Port Angeles for January 26 and 27.

In Ocean Shores we usually eat at Alec's, but we are wondering if Emily's at the Quinault Casino or some other restaurant may be a better choice.

In Port Angeles, we have usually eaten at the restaurant in the Red Lion Hotel; however, our last experience at that restaurant was unsatisfactory. Since we live in Seattle, we don't want to spend a lot of money on a fancy meal. We are wondering if any of these places are worth a try: Irish Jack's; Thai Peppers; or Crazy Fish, Baja & Beyond.

Can't help you with Port Angeles, but we've had a couple of fantastic meals at Emily's at Quinault. The quality of the food far surpassed what I expected to find in Ocean Shores. It's as close to fine dining as I've found out there.

Thanks for the information. We ate in Emily's when the casino first opened and weren't thrilled, but the place looked a lot more appetizing when we peeked in during a visit to Ocean Shores a few months ago.

I really like Bella Italia in Pt Angeles. I was last there in October and had the shrimp with linguini, yum. I live in Seattle also and would not consider Bella Italia to be fancy or expensive but it's not inexpensive either. Sorry, I haven't tried the other places you mention, because I always go to Bella Italia when I'm out there ;-)!

We enjoyed eating at Jason's -- Mexican fare -- it can be a wait but it's worth it. Not fancy but good eats.

Thanks for the suggestions.

I checked out Bella Italia a couple years ago after I learned that's where Laura Bush dined when she visited the Olympic National Park. I was turned off by the basement dining room, but I'll give it another look on Saturday.

I'll check out Jason's, too.

Bella Italia moved a couple years ago--it's now at street level.
