Oakland Basketball

Can anyone tell me how far it is from the Coliseum BART station to the Oakland Arena. We are going to be staying in San Francisco and want to see some basketball.
Also can you give me a website address where I can book tickets to visit Alcatraz.

Many thanks
Caryl

Carylspall, the website to book your tickets to Alcatraz is: www.blueandgoldfleet.com.

The website for BART is: www.bart.gov

I am not sure about getting from BART to the Oakland Arena. I have never taken BART for that purpose. My map of Oakland shows the Arena is a bit of ways (west) of the BART station.
I sure would not want to attempt to walk it at night.

Having said that though I have known people that take BART to see the Oakland A's play - so guess it is doable. Perhaps your hotel in SF could advise you. Sorry I am not more help.

Do have a fun trip

BART takes you to the Coliseum Station which is located closer to the Coliseum than the arena but you should be exiting with other attendees so I can't see why that would be a bad thing. The arena and the coliseum share the same parking lot but the Coliseum is closer to the BART station than the arena so that's why the BART station appears further west.

My son was there, he said there is a walkway from BART to the arena, like a bridge.
