Oahu
Family of 4 ( 2 adults and 2 kids (6&8) going to oahu x 10 days in april. Can anyone tell me what the kids would love? This is my 3rd time. Has anyone tried surf lessons with little kids?

There was another post dealing with this ...
I found the zoo and aquarium to be ok. Snokeling would probably interest them. Since Diamond Head is shown on most postcard, books, and television shows, they might like saying they hiked to the top of it.

yeah snorkelling. Go to hanauma bay really early (by 8am is better)
PCC is fun too but i guess you already knew that. go to ko'olina and if you can get there really early (a little after sunrise is best). You can spend the whole day there and the kids will love it. we even had a swim at marriots even though we weren't guests.

A horseback ride on the beach at Turtle Bay Resort.
A tour of the submarine USS Bowfinger and the adjacent USS Missouri.
A kayak trip in Kailua.
Snorkeling at Hanauma Bay isn't as easy as people say. We've snorkeled in a lot of places, and parts of this bay are SO shallow, it's sort of difficult as you're constantly worried about scraping a knee on the coral if you don't keep your body completely straight. straight.
They might find PCC boring, I hate to say.
Have fun!

For kids (don't try to do all of these or you won't have any time for things you want to do):
Polynesian Cultural Center
Children's Discovery Center
Honolulu Zoo
Waikiki Aquarium
Hawaiian Adventures Water Park
Sea life Park
Bishop Museum (New hands on volcano exhibit that is fantastic)
Dole Pineapple
Snorkel Hanauma Bay (also Kuilima Cove at Turtle Bay. It is usually OK even in the winter)
Walk through aquarium in the front of DFS Gallaria
Lots of info:

I think Waimea Park Falls park on the North side would be fun for the kids when you're at Turtle Bay. The town of Haleiwa has lots of fun casual resturaunts. It's a surfing town, see the north shore's website:http://www.northshoreoahu.org/

ally, have you tried putting "Oahu" in the search box, or maybe "kids" in the search box with "Hawaii" selected?
Also here is one of many good threads on Oahu.
