So far Wed and Thurs next week are in the 70s with no rain.. hoping it stays that way all weekend!

- Wednesday -

DIY Food tour of Greenwich Village – picnic in Washington Square Park

From Penn Station - Take the downtown 1 to Christpher St - Walk: Big Gay Ice Cream, Milk & Cookies Bakery, Murray’s Cheese Bar, Faicco Pork Store, Pasticceria Rocco, Joe’s Pizza, Bious Caio

Exploring/Shopping in the Village and Union Square Farmer’s Market

Directions: From the WA Square Park arch, go up 5th Avenue 4-5 blocks, passing the two pretty churches and other nice architecture. Then go east on 12th or 13th Street to University Place. Up University 1-2 blocks to 14th Street and you're at Union Square. Wander through the greenmarket and exit at the NW corner, at 17th Street & Broadway. Up Broadway another 6 blocks (to 23rd Street) and you're at Madison Square Park and the Flatiron Building. From there Take the N train to 34th Street stop and walk to Penn Station. If we skip MSP and FIB – take N train from inside Union Square Park

- Thursday -

Central Park

(Penn Station –take C train toward 168 st – exit 81th street) belvedere castle, Boathouse, Alice in Wonderland statue & Conservatory water, bethseda fountain, strawberry fields, lunch at le pain quitoden, carousel and central park zoo.

Exit at 59th Street –FAO Schwarz & The Plaza(late lunch/snack at plaza food hall)

Times Square –

Disney Store, Toys R us ferris wheel & Dinner (if we are up for it at Jekll & Hyde club, Virgil’s BBQ or Junior’s ) – I realize how loud, crowded and touristy these areas are but we don’t want to venture far and not even sure if we will want to eat at this point but at least I have some reference if we do

Times Square Shuttle to Grand Central Terminal to have a look around

- Friday -

9/11 Memorial – 10 am passes

Century 21 shopping

Lower East Side – Economy Candy, Katz’s and Russ & Daughters

High Line & Chelsea Market for dinner

- Saturday -

Brooklyn Bridge Park & Jane’s Carousel

East River Ferry to Williamsburg – Smorgaburg

East River Ferry back to Brooklyn Bridge Park, to get on NY water taxi (booked)

Get off at South Street Seaport, walk around FiDi, hop back on to see SOL and then get off at Pier 84

Rockefeller Plaza - Nintendo Store and Lego Store

Top of the Rock (sunset is at 6:45 pm) – tickets bought

Dinner - Ruby Foo’s at 7:30 (reservations made)

Friday night dinner "Highline/Chelsea Market". Make reservations. There are many terrific restaurants nearby, very popular.

We planned to just nosh on stuff inside of Chelsea Market.
