NYC - steakhouse with a stagecoach?

In 1969 there was a steakhouse that had a stagecoach with horses that would go though Times Square to pick up diners. I'm sure the coach is no more but does anyone remember the name of the restaurant?

Gallagher's which has been around since the 1920's and claims to be the first place to serve a "New York strip steak" is the most logical option. I do remember seeing that stagecoach -- but not sure if it took people to Gallagher's or somewhere else. Over the years, they have had a lot of gimmicks however.

That's got to be it. I can't believe that I ate at The Cattleman in NYC in 1968! I remember the menu that was like an old fashioned newspaper. I kept it for years.

I don't remember the stagecoach in relation to that restaurant, but I just googled and found this on a discussion of "New York restaurant memories":
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

"Remember the Cattleman and their "wagons" plying the streets around Times Square?"

Hey. On that trip in 1968 when we ate at the Cattleman, we also had Easter dinner at Mama Leone's. Talk about a "blast from the past". And also Jack Dempsey's.

They used the exterior of Jack Dempsey's in Godfather 1.

Mamma Leone's was always our big birthday treat - a Broadway show and dinner at Mamma Leone's or some fancy buffet restaurant - the Stockholm maybe? Hawaii Kai was popular for Sweet 16 parties in the 60s.

Hey, thanks for the memories! I rode in the stagecoach and had dinner at Cattlemen's with my grandmother when I was young.

Now...does anyone remember Maxwell's Plum? That's another restaurant my grandmother took me to - I remember it had a wonderful wooden bar.

The large downstairs bar in the Tribeca Grill is that beautiful old bar from Maxwell's Plum.
