Go to Century 21 which is downtown or in the midtown area, check out DAFFY's. Enjoy your trip!

There are 3 Filene's Basements in Manhattan. You will get great deals on wonderful stuff.

H & M very popular with teens for trendy, inexpensive clothes. (They have something like 4 locations). Canal St. for accessories. Pearl River Mart can be fun. Anthropologie, Urban Outfitters and Abercrombie & Fitch if you don't live in a city that has those stores.

I suggest H&M. But for some reason, the one on 5th Ave is nicer than all the others we saw.

Macy's - you can spend a day there. Even if you have one where you live. This is one of the largest Dept. stores in the world.

SOHO. Daughter loved SOHO. Lots of botique type shops - Prince and W. Broadway. Shop on Broadway (different than W. Broadway) in SOHO for a mix of mainstream and botiques.
