NYC: Restaurant Week Jan. 30th - Feb. 2nd

Here's the link with details and partcipating restaurants...

The youngest son got dressed up today and went to Le Cirque for a 3-course lunch with some of his friends. A nice (budget) opportunity for college students to experience some fine-dining in NYC for $24.07.

Seetheworld - isn't restaurant week a great thing!
My daughter in NYC ate the other night with friends at One if By Land, Two if By Sea and had a great meal and wonderful experience - as you said, something they otherwise wouldn't have been able to afford on their budgets !

well, as soon as I finished typing this my daughter just called and is on her way to Barbounia for dinner tonight with friends....so I laughed and said well if you keep this up, you might still blow your budget for eating out !! so on that vein, am glad it doesn't happen more often

LOL! My youngest son has been dining out a lot lately too. Last weekend sushi - I thought he hated fish, lol. What he will do for a girl.

I did laugh when he told me he refrained from drinking a lot of water at Le Cirque because there was an attendant in the bathroom and he already tipped the coat checker. That's my boy, lol.

It's nice that our kids are able to get such an opportunity.

it's so much fun to see what they will try for their 'date' - well, if they begin enjoying the fine dining, at least we know they'll have yet another incentive to keep working !
