NYC Restaurant

My husband and I will be celetrating our anniversary in NYC in September. We want to go out for a nice meal, but not spend an arm & leg. It doesn't need to be fancy, just good food and a comfy, romantic atmosphere, maybe a nice view.

We are staying at the Herald Square Hotel, the restaurant doesn't need to be near there just putting it out there as a point of reference.

Any ideas?

Can you give us an idea of what an arm and a leg cost these days? Are we talking $100 total for the two? More? Less?

Also, in our food budget, is that to include wine?

Also, since there are literally thousands of restaurants in NYC, how about an idea of the type(s) of food you want?

Visit Citysearch and browse.

And/or purchase a copy of Zagat's at your local bookstore.

As said above, you have thousands of options in Manhattan alone.

Places with a view are fairly limited in number and few are in the budget category. I hesitate to reco River Cafe since I don;t know what you want to spend. You really need to tell us.
