NYC Restaurant

We are visiting NYC for our first anniversary in late June and was hoping for advice on a great place to have dinner. We want to stay in Manhatten....

We would like to go somewhere fun/romantic/etc and would spend up to $150ish for two.

Any suggestions?
Thanks!!!!

If you do a text search for "NYC Romantic Restaurants," you will come up with a lot of good suggestions.

The end of June is restaurant week in NYC when many of New York's best restaurants offer a 3 course prix fixe dinner menu for $30.03. I'm sure you will get plenty of great suggestions on this site. Once you do, visit www.visitnyc.com and click on "Restaurant Week" to see if any of the suggestions are a participating restaurant. You can even make reservations on the website. This is really a great bargain - you can experience a great NY restaurant and stay well within your budget.

I have been to many of the resturants in the city & one if by land two if by sea is one of the most romatic.
they even have a $75 tasting menu .

Flowers every where .

Resturant week is a New York Gem
20.02 for a 3 couse lunch & 30.03 for dinner , this is in some of the top resturants so book early

there is a website called www.chowhound.com
I recommend that forum also

I keep getting mixed reviews about Two if By Land....

Any other advice out there on other restaurants?

Have been to Four Seasons, Babbo, Union Square Cafe, One If By Land...., but the best dinner out my wife and I have had was at Gramercy Tavern.

We felt truly ripped off at OIBL TIBS and Gramercy Tavern. Service and food way below expectations. Personal favourites in the upscale category were: Gotham Bar & Grill, Le Bernardin.

My husband and I had a wonderful experience at OIBL TIBS, as some other posters herein have stated. However, some posters have said they had a bad experience there, as well.

Most "romantic" restaurants in NYC do tend to get completely opposite reviews on this board. Therefore, I suppose it all depends upon your expectations, as well as the particular night you go. There are any number of small things or situations that can make a great dining experience go awry.

Wherever you should go, make reservation now. Some of the restaurants mentioned can book up a month in advance.
