Isabels Restaurant

Coming into NYC for one night on the way to the West Indies so we're packing light. Someone recommended Isabels for dinner after a day of sightseeing. We'll be dressed casually. Is this appropriate?

NYC is a big town with maybe 100 or more restaurants called Isabel's. Some more information would help, like location.

I wasn't aware that there were 100 (or more!) restaurants in NYC called Isabels. Interesting.

Conway73: are you thinking of the restaurant Isabella's at 359 Columbus Ave? I think casual dress would be fine. Have you seen the website menupages.com ? Go to that site and type in a NYC restaurant name and you can see menus & reviews. Enjoy your trip!

There may be 100 restaurants name Isabel's in NYC, but there is only one named Isabella's which is what I suspect you mean, as it is very popular. It is on the upper west side at Columbus and 77th; where are you staying? Margie gives good advice about looking at a website. They also have their own at

My friend tells me it is near the SW corner of Central Park. Does that help? I'll check the websites that Margie and Patrick recommended. We're in transit so staying at Newark Marriott - just coming in for the afternoon and an early dinner, then back to the airport.

I can't find one rest. called Isabel's let alone 100. You want Isabella's. It not exactly at the SW corner of the park. Here's the listing on menupages.

Casual dress (not sloppy) fine.
