NYC Museum Pass/Discount ?

I will be visiting NYC soon and plan on visiting several museums, the "biggies" plus hopefully some of the smaller ones. Does NYC have a museum pass like Paris does? (It allows you to visit several museums for a reduced rate). Your comments & suggestions are welcomed.

The Metropolitan and Natural History have a "suggested" entrance fee. You can give what you can afford to gain admission.

I just got back from Chicago where we purchased the Citypass - it was a great deal. They are also available in NYC (but I have never been there). You can check out the web page at:

Hope this helps.

There is a New York City Pass available. I'm not sure how you get. Perhaps you can find out at 1-800-ILOVENY. Or maybe someone else knows more specifically.

The same citypass is available for NYC,
(see http://www.citypass.com/ny/index.html) BUT:
Unless you were planning on going to all the places listed (• American Museum of Natural History
• Guggenheim Museum
• Intrepid Sea Air Space
Museum
• The Museum of Modern
Art
• Empire State Building
Observatoryanyway, the deal isn't that great .Also, Museum of Natural History is pay-as-you-wish at all times, MoMA and Guggenheim have pay as you wish evenings, as do most other museums. If you're interested in specific ones, let us know.

If you are visiting NYC within the next week, there's a promotion going on weekends only that has free and reduced priced admissions. Also keep in mind that you can get AAA discounts at some museums.

Hi! Just wanted to thank everyone for their comments. Actually, as a person who usuallys pays the "suggested donation" the CityPass is a good deal for me. For museums that aren't included I'll take your suggestion and inquire about a AAA rate. The link JPM posted worked great and I had no idea this pass also existed for other cities - I'll keep the info handy for our next trip to SanFran. Thanks for your help!
