Sorry; my eyes skipped right past your query, with the dates.

I have to admit, while I love the Times Square AREA I would hate to stay at that Hilton. It's right in the middle of the craziness of Times Square. Use the Hilton reservation website to check the rates at either the Hilton Garden Inn or the Hampton Inn Times Square North, both on 8th Ave. They are close to one another and steps away from theaters and convenient to everything in TS but not in the middle of the chaos of TS.
Or the Hilton on 6th at 54th. It's only a few (long) blocks but close to Rockefeller Center and Radio City Music Hall.
Have a great trip!

Don't let those who abhoreTimes Square scare you. For a couple of young ladies on their first trip to NY...you're gonna love it! So much energy. Always something to see. Very central location. Easy to get on subway to anywhere. Great restaurants up and down 8th and 9th Aves. Close to theaters. It's a fine choice. Have fun!

Who "abhors" Time Square?
I love Times Square. I'm one of the brave few who go up against the locals who hate Times Square. I have the bruises to prove it.

That Hilton is on the busiest stretch of 42nd street. It's very chaotic. The options I suggested on 8th are just as convenient to everything in Times Square. Don't take my word for it, use Google maps to see the difference.

Since her last post indicated that they are willing to consider other options, there's no reason not to describe the hotel's entrance on 42nd and to suggest another Times Square area location.

If you're still looking for a better deal, check the reviews for La Quinta Inn Manhattan. Near Macys, Empire State Building, easy walk to subway and walkable to Times Square. $800 for your 4 nights, tax & breakfast included, and their rooms with 2 Queen beds are fairly spacious by NY standards. Even better price if one of you is an AAA member.
