NYC Helicopter tours

Hi

My husband and I are visiting New York City for the first time in October to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We are thinking of doing a helicopter tour - such as Liberty Helicopter's tour for $56 for a 5 - 7 min tour. Has anyone done this previously - any opinions would be appreciated

Thanks a lot

Cathy

I can think of about a thousand better ways to spend $100 in NYC rather than a 7-minute helicopter tour.

You won't go too far and won't see much. 5 minutes? LOL!
Go to the top of the Empire State for much better view. You may stay there as long as you want

Have you checked out this company's safety records? There was a time that these touring helicopters regularly took plunges into the East River.

Go to the Empire State Building on a clear day and have a fantastic view. Much cheaper.

Went on a Liberty Helicopter ride this summer. It was a slightly hazy day and the views were not great. I would suggest a harbour cruise for great views of lower Manhattan, statue of Liberty and Brooklyn Bridge. We went on world yacht dinner cruise and although not cheap was a special experience which would make for a memorable anniversary trip
