NYC Brunch with Three Year Old
Ok - I know Its crazy but I have tickets to Dora the Explorer next Sunday the 18th with my three year old...I was hoping to make an event out of it..We would be leaving her little brother at home and wanted to make it a special day. We would be coming into Penn Station and the show is at Radio City Music Hall. We need to have lunch/brunch somewhere. Any suggestions?

Citarella -(1240 6th Ave at 49th St.) very family friendly, good food - make a reservation now. Rock Center Cafe - (20 W. 50th St.) ok food, I think the orchid show is there next week under a tent on the ice rink.

I don't wish to interfere and you know your child best but that seems like an awfully long day for a 3-year old. Might she enjoy it more - and be less tired and cranky if each event were to happen separately?

I know several families with young children who have celebrated family events with brunch there and were made to feel perfectly welcome. Remember also that the lead time for zagats is actually pretty long - for the 2004 edition those comments reflect experiences of almost a year ago now. And also - Zagats is not infallible.

If it's a nice day, the Bryant Park Cafe (40th st behind the library) is on the way to Radio City from Penn station.
There are a lot of restaurants inside Rock. Center including Two Boots for pizza.

sorry if i offended you - as I said you know your own child best. But I know 4/5 year olds that would be really tired, cranky and no longer enjoying themselves by the end of a structued 6 hour adult day (if you include trravel time).
