Ok,hopefully last question re: rooms in NYC!
Affinia Gardens (215 East 64th St)-2 beds plus sofa, 450-650 sq ft for $1530.94
Affinia 50 (East 50th Street) 2 beds, no sofa, 280-350 sq ft for $1230.
I would say Gardens unless 50's location is lots better than Gardens.
THANKS again for your help!

The Affinia 50 is in a decent location, but I won't say it's better than Affinia Gardens. If you're going to see Broadway shows, the Theatre district is walkable from the hotel.
However, the room will be almost 2x the size at Affinia Gardens. I'll take the larger room.
Did you double check with Affinia Gardens regarding 2 beds + sofa (not the recliner that you mentioned earlier)?

I've never been inside Affinia 50, but I was on the #50 bus which goes right pass that hotel. To me, Affinia 50 appears to be a "hip" hotel. Affinia Gardens looks just like a generic Manhattan apartment building.

Have you checked out The Ace Hotel on W 29th St. Cute place and they have bunk bed add on rooms that you fit your budget nicely. It's in the Herald Square area of the city so close to subway, bus and lots of shopping. The kids will love the lobby, a cross of New York and National Park Lodgeish.
The other suggestion would be The Travel Inn on W42nd ST. Coming at the end of June it will be HOT here and the TRavel Inn has a pool. They also have free parking for guests.
Have a great trip.
