Right, I agree this probably isn't MBP, unless there are other incidents. Far more likely that she is after a settlement. I don't understand the delay--it makes it highly suspicious. Any rational soul finding blue specks, foam, and a bitter taste to the apple juice would have addressed the issue right then and there at the airport, not 10 days later. How on earth could it ever be proven that the FA did it after all that time had elapsed with the juice in her possession, unless someone actually witnessed him doing it? By the way, the Xanax was not found on him that flight, but two months after this incident. Talk about circumstantial evidence!!

buckeyemom, the case of the little girl being told she had leukemia is almost unbelievable isn't it? My feeling is that might be a mixture of greed and MBP. There are two separate diseases, by the way, MBP and just plain Munchausen Disease, which is where an individual fakes illness himself for whatever gratification it brings. Although it has existed forever probably, the internet gives it a whole new twist, because now you only need tell of your diseasse and symptoms facelessly--no need to prove the illness with weight loss or whatever. We had a case of it on another forum I participate in, where the woman claimed to have cancer and we were all so sympathetic and supportive as she went through her "chemo" and as symptoms progressed with no remission etc. Later, a "friend" came online telling us she'd taken a turn for the worse and was in a coma etc. She was caught only because of her distinctive, and incorrect, typing style. She never put any spaces after periods. Lo and behold, neither did the "friend" who came to tell us about the turn for the worse. Emails started zinging back and forth between us all as we noticed...but what do you do...this too IS a true illness. One of the more outspoken members called her on it and I've forgotten now her explanation...some very long, involved thing...then she disappeared from the board. Sad--imagine how needy and empty a person must be to be driven to that extreme!

Read the FBI Agent's affidavit. The link is "US vs. Cunningham" just to the right of the story itself. It does not answer why he mother kept the juice in the firdge all that time. But its interesting.

10 days to analyze? The FA will totally be found not guilty. That's reasonable doubt if anything is.

I was alarmed too about the 10 day wait but the fact that he was caught with the drugs by customs points the finger back in his direction.
