Question for anyone out there. I will be visiting NYC in November. I am arriving at LAG and staying at the Wellington. There will be 5 of us. Is cab the best trans. from the airport to the hotel?

The links below have information for ground and public transportation options from LGA into Manhattan. You may want to look into a shuttle service, otherwise you will probably have to hire 2 cabs to fit all of you plus luggage.

On second thought, ask the cab company if they can dispatch a van for your group.

By law, only 4 passengers are allowed in a taxi cab.

Thanks so much for responding. You will be seeing alot more questions from me as the time gets closer. This trip is for my 50th birthday and I am bringing my daughters and 2 neices along to help me celebrate. Any suggestions you have would be greatly appreciated.

You can arrange for a car service in advance Tel Aviv (212 777-7777), Carmel (212 666-6666), Allstate (212 333-3333). Tell them you are a party of 5. They all charge about the same. I prefer Carmel.
