Not staying at WDW hotel, but want to visit

We are planning a trip to DisneyWorld in April and will stay in Kissimmee. Relatives will be there the same time and will be staying at the Poloniasn Hotel in Disney. Can we take a Disney bus from the main gate to their hotel and spend the day with them? (at the hotel, not the park) Other option is to drive our rental car to their hotel. Is that something we can do? Thanks for any suggestions.

Lots of the hotels/motels have their own shuttle service. I think you need to ask at the one you are staying with if they provide that service.
I have stayed both inside and outside the park..every hotel/motel usually has their own policy.
Have a great time

The Polynesian is walking distance from the 'gate' of the Magic Kingdom (ticking & transportation), which you have to go thru to enter the park.

Drive to the Magic Kingdom, take the tram, then you can walk to the Polynesian.

Or, you could drive to the Transportaion Center and take the monorail to the Polynesian.

Or you could just drive to the Polynesian and park there. Probably the easiest way to go. We did that with the Contemporary a few weeks ago. You still have to pay the parking fee then follow the signs to the Polynesian.
