Not really travel related... but...

I will be traveling in my new job!
I need to come up with a job title for my new job.
Does anyone know of a website that can assist in developing a job title?
My new job covers a broad area and traditionally it would be called Director of Travel Industry Sales.
I would like to come up with a way to remove the word sales from the title. I'd like to avoid 'marketing' too...
Y'all are a creative bunch... any ideas?

If sales is what you do, is there a reason that you are not embracing that word? How about...

D. T. I. Business Development.

D. T. I. Expansion.

The only two I see these days in place of all the other doublespeak promoted by Scott Adams, creator of Dilbert.

Doesn't the employer determine job titles?

(I've worked for companies that gave out titles instead of raises)

TTP....If you will be selling to Travel Agents you might relate better to them with the traditional title. Its been a while since they were coddled, you know. However, I think you would make a terrific Director of Travel Developmental and Strategic Implementation.......Stephen

Hey Triple... sorry to be thick but what is DTI.
Since I left the travel agency environment 6 years ago I have been in development, a techie. People say I am a natural at sales but I really feel my role is more strategic.
Thankfully they give me free reign on this stuff... and we all have a sense of humor.
I really appreciate your suggestions!

Oh... and I should add that I am moving to a job that is basically being created by me.
The company I am going to is a wholly owned subsidiary of the company I currently work for... a recent acquisition. I am part of the dreaded take over team

How about VP of Travel?

As for not wanting the marketing title, I just got one with my new job. I am the Director of Marketing for group of world class golf courses and am thrilled with the title.

Thank goodness I'm out of sales. Leave that headache to others.

Congratulations TxTravelPro!

LOL, in my world, the title is Wife

I kind of like the Director of Travel Operations, although it has a sort of military ring to it.
