www.visitnc.com. Wineries will also be along your route in both NC & Va. if that holds an interest. One of the better ones is http://www.villaappalaccia.com/index.htm & it is right off the Parkway. There are also several in close proximity to I-77 near Elkin & the Va. border. Old Salem (in Winston-Salem) although a bit out of your way, may also be worth a stop www.oldsalem.org. www.blueridgeparkway.org, www.nps.gov/blri

You may want to rethink the OBX portion, not easily accessible & very time-consuming w/the limited amount of time you have.

I am glad you have included Winston Salem in your itinerary. Old Salem is a wonderful restoration and well worth your time.

1703-American with French influence, highend
Mary's Of Course-casual, organic, hippy mood, low price
Simply Yummy- casual, organic, not so hippy, low price (in Reynolda Village)

B and B-Augustus Zeverly House in Old Salem.
