There sure is. It's called Snap and Scrap and it's on the Upper West Side on Broadway and around W. 91st St.

Same place, different name.

If you like Thai food, I highly recommend Lemongrass nearby.

Try art supply shops. Google "paper store nyc" and you'll find ideas. (We just don't call it "scrapbooking.")

New York Central Art Supply (perhaps the best supply of true artists papers in the city)
62 Third Ave bet 10th and 11th

Kate's Paperie
72 Spring St and a few locations around town

Paper Presentation
Print Icon
West 18th St (two stores virtually next door to one another)

Jam Paper & Envelope (more stationery, but lots of odd sized envelopes may work for you)
135 Third Ave bet 14th and 15th

Kinokuniya (Japanese origami and rice papers)
1073 Sixth Ave (Ave of Americas) at about 41st

starrs - we do love Thai food...we're lucky in Sydney that there are Thai restaurants everywhere! cheap and delicious...might have to check out 'Lemongrass' on the UWS as thats where we are staying!

ac291, Lemongrass on the UWS is a cheap serviceable Thai place. But there are also a bunch of other places very close by that bring it up a notch
Charm Thai around the corner from Lemongrass, on Amsterdam at 95th street
Thai Market Amsterdam at 107?
Sura Broadway 101st?
Sook Broadway at 102nd? (my favorite)

I can also HIGHLY recommend Indus Vally which is one of the best Indian cuisine restaurants in the city. It's not far from where you are staying. It's at 100th and Broadway and I'm going to be there tomorrow for brunch. The breads there are amazing.

Enjoy your trip and let us know if you have any other questions.

I've never been in Lemongrass - just enjoy their food via delivery. The food is GREAT. My personal favorite. I had Thai for lunch AND dinner today (long story) but IMO neither were as good as Lemongrass - especially the chicken satay.

My friends love Gennaro for Italian. I also enjoyed Telio for Greek (baked chicken and lemon potatoes.

In any case, there are lots of places to eat across the price ranges. Have fun!

Lemongrass is a mini-chain and can be found in a number of neighborhoods.

Yep. Know that. One is also near the scrapbooking store she's asking about. That's why I mentioned it

There's also Lee's Art Shop at 220 West 57th between 7th Ave and Broadway.... and down the street not far from Carnegie Hall (between 6th and 7th ) is a Kate's Paperie.
